Kevin! I just tried to call you because it's your birthday, isn't it, and here I am just remembering. Only, I got some voice mail for a Kyle Somebody so apparently I have the wrong number for you. Anyway, a big kiss, and lots of love, and a full pot with no room to hold anything more. xoxoxoxo
Along with the fresh air! One of my favorite parts was smelling the oakmoss and hearing the leaves rustle. It makes me want to be more appreciative of the environment around me wherever that may be.
I will be so very sad if he doesn't. To me, there's no other writer that can compare to him. But, I can never anticipate what crazy "committees" will do in honoring someone; they seem so very unpredictable.
I've always loved fall, mainly because of its colors. These photos are beautiful. And you know what, the forest looks very much like the one behind our house. But I don't have a lake as idyllic as yours here.
Lovely! Northern Michigan?
ReplyDeleteI should have mentioned the place (hence the difficulty with WORDLESS Wednesday) which is Pickerel Lake, Wisconsin. "Around" Green Bay.
DeleteWe're having some fall weather this year ourselves.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember exactly where you live, Kathy, but I hope it's as lovely as it was in Wisconsin. Even Illinois' trees pale in comparison.
DeleteIts when I see photos of fall weather that I wish I lived up north and not in FL (where its hot and rainy).
ReplyDeleteI know; I'd miss the four seasons dreadfully. Florida is great, for about two weeks in February, but otherwise I need my northern climate!
DeleteBeautiful!

DeleteYour pictures are so beautiful! I would love to walk that path.
ReplyDeleteThe path is actually the driveway to my favorite cottage up there: my brother and sister in laws'. We're hoping we can buy one ourselves some day...
Deleteyou can feel the crisp autumn air!
ReplyDeleteThe glorious trees were so fresh, even though it was quite cold as you can probably tell from the first picture by the lake.
DeleteThe water and these beautiful leaves - the perfect combination!

DeleteThese are excellent photographs.
ReplyDelete(Do you think Haruki will take the Nobel Prize this year. They announce the winner soon....)

DeleteBeauty is indeed up north!
ReplyDeleteWell, for me it is. I even love the snow!
DeleteJust gorgeous, especially the reds and yellows.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love photos of forest paths, there's a sort of inspiring journey atmosphere to them.

ReplyDeleteSimply stunning :) Makes me feel like heading into the woods myself. Fall has really arrived, let's enjoy its pretty colours!
ReplyDeleteWow, beautiful! A real autumn.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful, wish I were there!
