Finally, It's Friday

1. Why does it take twenty-somethings so long to grow up?

2.  Every dark chocolate bar is equal to every cup of espresso...marvelous.

3. My favorite breakfast includes a croissant and cappuccino.

4. Murakami's Norwegian Wood was the last book I read before Ash Wednesday.

5. I am SO glad that I finished report cards, comment cards, math checklists, letters of recommendation and reading a colleague's National Board Entry this week.

6. An immaculately clean house would make me feel better right now.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to finishing 1 Kings, tomorrow my plans include flying to Naples, (Florida, not Italy) and Sunday, I want to have coffee on the patio with my family!

  1. What a beautiful place this is, your picture... I sure like to see a caption though. Here I am above the 49th parallel with snow and sleet and wind and ice... that's my weekend. Florida sounds like Italy to me. Have a great read and enjoy your family time, Bellezza! Look forward to your post on 1 Kings.

  3. I love that picture - what is the building and where?
I'm on holidays today so I actually didn't want it to be Friday because I return to work Monday.

  4. These are just some beautiful condos in Naples that I captured on a walk...I don't have the address, nor do we stay there. :)

The limo's in the driveway, to take us to O'Hare airport, so I'll visit you all when we come back a week from Sunday. Blessings on you, friends.

  5. Enjoy your trip. I love an imaculately clean home too - sadly it requires work on my part most of the time. This weekend I traded housework for a bike ride. How was Norwegan Wood?

  6. You're already off to Naples, but I still have to say . . . best bet is to marry off the kid. Then, the growing-up part is his wife's problem. We're leaving ours in capable hands and hoping for the best (wedding bells forthcoming, this summer!) Have a wonderful trip!

  12. 1 Kings? As in the Biblical 1st Kings, or is there another book that shares the title?

Sorry I am so late; busy weekend! My answers are over at The Philosophy of Chairs.

  14. Have a fabulous time in Floriday! And as I'm still a twenty-something for a few more months I"m not sure I can answer your #1. Still too many things to experience to feel "grown up" but I get closer every day!

  15. I hope you are having a lovely time with your family. I can't wait to see some photos when you return.

My favorite breakfast includes an Americano and a fresh-baked scone.

I, too, love an clean house, but I get even more satisfaction from an afternoon out on the bike trail. Can't. Wait. To. Buy. My. New. Bike!!

  16. Sounds delightful. And don't worry about that non-immaculate house. So much more on your list that matters much more. Enjoy!
