I'd love to put up a passage from Dickens, or a poem from Longfellow, or even an inspiration from Martin Luther, but I've found a quote from a woman I'd rather share with you here:
Merry Christmas,
Bellezza
I can understand people simply fleeing the mountainous effort Christmas has become... but there are always a few saving graces and finally they make up for all the bother and distress. ~May SartonIf your Christmas has been a bit like mine, almost Too Much Christmas For Just One Girl for the last three weekends, may you find a saving grace to make up for the hectic pace. I wish you every blessing this Christmas Eve, for Christmas Day, and in your New Year to come.
Merry Christmas,
Bellezza

Merry Christmas to you! It is always worth whatever stress arises...isn't that the best part? I am so grateful there are many more than 'a few saving graces' each Christmas and they feel like oh-so-many blessings. Warmest wishes to you and your family:)

ReplyDeleteDear B,
ReplyDeleteWishing you a merry and blessed Christmas season AND new year. Love this picture. Love your thought here, expressed so clearly and one with which we can identify. It's hard not to see what did not get done, but what's the point in that, I ask myself. Look at all the peace and beauty that has nothing to do with all the running around out and about.
I hope you're enjoying a lovely coffee, book, conversation, and/or moment of quietude even as I write this...two days after Christmas!
Hugs, Oh
P.S. I'll be anxious to hear of your views on the Third Angel. Won't stick mine in until you are done.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a peaceful time after the holidays!
ReplyDeleteI love the message you've chosen. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and that 2011 will be a wondeful year.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful Christmas! Wishing you all the best in the new year.
